royal mail tracking help

posted an item on saturday with rm special delivery, today i checked the ref number on rm site, says:
'Sorry

There is no data available for this tracking reference, please try again later'

it was special delivery, how comes cant trace the ref online? help

Several reasons for this....

RM is slow at weekends to update. ( and in fact the rest of the week).

RM is slow....

I would consider checking late Monday afternoon to see.
