Info regarding thermal printer for shipping labels

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/everyth...ng-labels.html

Up to date thoughts from above thread needed.

Running 2 dymo 450. Howeever trying to find best solution to mass print and get invoices. I sell many variations of items and labels alone not enough.

Really getting frustrated with amount of time spent printing labels or sorting them.

I just started outsourcing the packing and like to free up more time, however printing holding me back.

I would appreciate ANY suggestions

Zebra LP2844 is a great work horse.

Few users have this baby.

I use one with my MAC. Offsiders use these with the PCs.

I even managed to set it up myself.

Shows you how clever the printer is ;)

Zebra ZP450 is another good choice. UPS will give you one of these for super low cost with labels if you have an account with them.

I highly recommend the Zebra 2844. It is one of most widely used printers for shipping by businesses. That means they are plentiful and can be had used for maybe $150 or so. The popularity also means that labels are available from MANY sources, so they tend to be cheaper. They are compatible with just about everything.

The LP2844 is well constructed and designed. I bought my first used one over 2 years ago and it has printed over 100 labels per day with no problems. These things are SOLID!

what you also need is a good 3p software thats compatible with the printer/site.

I had the same issue until i got stamps

What is 3p referring to? I never had a problem using Endicia.com's Dazzle and batch printing software suite Endicia Pro.

I believe he is referring to "3rd party" software. It is out there, but I have also never had an issue using my Zebra LP2844 with Endicia, PayPal, ShipStation or Stamps.com. It is compatible with all of them as long as the Zebra software is properly set-up. And they have instructions for most of these services. Setting it up is NOT too difficult - I think it took me less than 10 minutes to do it.

I am fine with the dymo.... The major issue I am having is getting packing slips to go along with the labels. ebay batch printing does not give me individual invoices to go with labels.

Any suggestions?

ShipStation. I LOVE the automation! Just log in and after a few clicks it sends shipping labels to my Zebra, packing slips to my HP laser, and updates the tracking numbers in eBay and Amazon.

eCommerce shipping for eBay Amazon Magento Shopify etc |*ShipStation

When you first open their site, you might be put off a bit. Once you read what they offer, it is quite a different story.

Their site must have been recently redesigned. But I can tell you that from my experience they are the best option I have found if you want to cut the time you spend shipping by half.

They update your orders periodically throughout the day, so you could actually check your orders on ShipStation. But what I really love is the automated printing, postback of tracking numbers and automated feedback. Not to mention the address validation and combining of multiple orders.

And, you get a free Endicia account to boot.
