Shipping to Russian Federation, can't print label.
 

Someone bought a product from me and lives in the Russian Federation.

The address is in a different language.

Ebay won't even let me print out the damn postage label. It has an error message pop up and tell me if I want to ship it I need to bring it directly to the post office.

Anyone have experience shipping to Russia?

Your options:
1. use an online translator to translate the address and take it to the post office.
2. Call eB and ask for assistance. Why not.
3. Ask the buyer to provide the address in english!

Cant really recommend #2...could cause an eye to placed on the account but try the other 2 options.

Okay I translated it to English no problem but the way the address is written there is nothing to put in the "State" section. It just says Saint-Petersburg (city in Russia) then a comma and then the zip.

I guess I'm going to put Russia as the "state" where ebay gives me the option to change the shipping address???

Kind of confused.

I shipped 500 lbs via DHL Express to Russia last month. There's no need to put a State when shipping to a large Russian city - just city & zip. Sorry to hear that the software is telling you otherwise.
Can you circumvent this nonsense by just putting a period in the field?

Take extra precautions with Russia. I have had many packages 'lost'.

City alone will see the mail go through.....

Then it will be held at the Post Office after landing.

Ensure your buyer knows to expect a long delay.

St. Petersburg tends to be OK for fairly quick delivery of items.

Had more issues with Moscow.

Make sure you send this fully insured etc etc etc....

I used to have a ton of sales from Russia on my first account and one month later after I was suspended they all claimed they never received the item .

Since I went stealth I ship Domestic only because of that

in this case ebay is doing you a favor by not letting you print a label destined to russia...

Agree with both Dmshark25 & css1 for ebay transactions certainly.

I ship to both Moscow & St Petersburg after finding buyers via etsy.

We do the transactions 'privately'.

Long delays are an issue. Never ship to there after late October/November.

Winter has captured the country.

Yep. They probably use mail packages as fire logs to keep warm.

Feel free to contact the buyer and ask for the address in English.
At us many Russians order with aliexpress, parcels reach.

When you reply to a post, look at the date.
