Why is it taking so long?!
 

I've ordered some stuff from my usual supplier in China

I sent some goods direct to a customer which has been received yesterday in America:

However a package being sent to me in the UK has just been stuck for almost 4 days; I've asked my supplier who I trust whole heartedly as I've dealt with him many times, and he says they've become very strict now because of drugs in Guangzhou

I've checked this morning and it says:

Was the parcel for the UK or USA?

One parcel was sent directly to a customer in the USA he has received already (First set of tracking information)

The second parcel is being sent to me in the UK. But the updates seem crazy. It hasn't even updated in the UK's tracking system (Parcelforce).

2 days to clear Chinese customs? Odd - likely in transit now

More than likely the parcel will be delivered before Parcelforce update.

ps, also the time frame is not that long.... I have had days longer wait time.

The timing is not the issue for me, more in terms of the sequence of events.

For example, now that it shows that it has been released from customs at China's side, it theoretically (3 days transit time) SHOULD be in the UK today. But nothing.

As it usually states 'Despatch from Sorting Center' an hour or so after being released from customs.

We shall see anyway, just kind of strange.

There's delays at the moment in china with the postal service, something about increases too... I've had a DHL delivery from china and its now taking on average and extra day or two for deliveries but by far DHL is always better and I insist in using it for anything I buy from china.

If yours is via EMS > Parcelforce it can take up to 10 days and in between time the updates can be shoddy at best especially around now.
