$1500 worth of packages didn't have tracking update today?.
 

I dropped them off at the usps store yesterday on martin luther king day and the tracking should have updated today. IT DIDN'T.. I had 5 packages from one account and 1 from another. HOWEVER the package from the other did update. The other 5 packages didn't but were dropped off at the same time. This is blowing my mind.

Is this normal. Or did I get robbed?.

If So I think I will just abandon this account. I can't afford a 1500 loss in one day.

Wow, relax. Have you never dealt with USPS before? If you are expecting actual tracking, change your methods to UPS and FedEx. USPS is slow, lazy and only offers delivery confirmation. Give it some time, especially after a holiday.

Are you checking thru eBay or USPS website because I know eBay is slow to update tracking.

usps was opened yesterday? shocker to me thought it was a holiday

Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday. It is probable that those packages slipped thro' & missed being scanned if there were less staff on duty.

Take a chill pill. In fact give me one too.

USPS has been doing weird things recently. Missing initial scans on items is one.

I meant ups store. I know I'm freaking out a little but what's got me worried is the fact that the packages on one name went through fine. The other packages did not. It seemed like the name is what may have cause the problem. For example someone opens one package by that name and findable a brand new iPhone 5s he then searches for the next package with hat name. The reason that 1 package got through May be due to the name bing different. But we will see tomorrow I guess

how long has it been? I' noticed when dropping off ups packages they can take a few hours for all the packages to be updated.

Ok, but a UPS store offers many courier options. Which one did you choose?

BTW, the people who work in there are low paid hourly workers who have nothing to do with any of the couriers and 99% of the time all I ever see is kids working. I wouldn't expect them to be doing anything in a timely manner. I always get receipts for my shipments when I am forced to use them. Plus, those stores have cameras everywhere.

Relax. Again, it was a friggin' holiday weekend. You really think all of these little UPS stores are just stealing people's packages? There's a lot more expensive stuff than your $1,500 going in and out of there without any problems. People ship cash, wea.pons, dru.gs, jewelry, etc all the time...

Honestly if you did everything right in terms of getting stuff scanned along with taking all your packages then your good.

No reason to get all worked up for 5 packages if you did things right.

I assume you used correct postage on the other 5 items right ?

Hahahaha wow , OP maybe this is not for you because getting freaked out because tracking hasn't updated over a holiday and it's not even 24 hours is not a problem, what are you going to do when you have a customer claiming a package wasn't received when tracking says delivered but no signature confirmation????? Wouldn't want to be around u at that time

lol I'd get freaked out too and probably lose my temper if I lose any money. I know how you feel op.

I'm not exactly clear here. You used the US Postal Service and NOT UPS, right? You just dropped the packages at the UPS store?

If you used USPS, then this is normal and is probably nothing to worry about. Many times when a package is mailed it does not show up for 48-72 hours and is first scanned at the sorting center.

For UPS, this WOULD be unusual. I mostly ship via the post office, so I am not a UPS expert, but every time I have used them their tracking was spot-on.

I've had things not scanned by both companies. Just sent something priority Friday with USPS and it didn't get a single scan for some reason. Then my iPad Air that I got for Christmas was shipped UPS and didn't get a scan for three days. I was like having a coronary but it got here. Give it a couple more days then take action.
