EMS "notification of shipment confirmation"
 

Hi!

I received a tracking number that my items were shipped on September 24th 2014 by EMS Singapore. Ever since that day the status of the tracking never changed from "Notification of shipment confirmation".
Does anyone know what that means?

I contacted EMS Singapore and they said that the shipment with this tracking number is not with them.
I then contacted the supplier and he said that his shipping agent told him that the shipment was at custom, which I do not believe, because I guess if it was like that the shipping status would have changed?

Can anyone help me with that? :/

It is possible that your seller just tossed you off a tracking number that is invalid to finalize the sale...this has happened

What does it mean?


It means you are dealing with another supplier who has poor customer service.

It helps them get your money but ends up delaying your receving the items.

Often done too.

Yes, sounds like they lied to you and took payment before sending it. Some sellers seem to add ⊗⊗⊗⊗ tracking numbers and then add the legit one a while later, but 2 weeks is a long time.

I used credit card payment...
The tracking status of my parcel still hasn't changed. :/
The seller still claims that it's due to the custom delays in China, but for some reason I do not believe him

If that is the case,

Tell him you want a traceable number within 3 days or you are filing a chargeback.

Is possible your supplier just put the goods in an agent. Thisone bring a tracking number, but not mean already Singapure pickup it. I have a parcel from sep 17 with 4 cartons, and just one already arrive destination. The agent say other 3 still in dhl warehouse. Another parcel from sep. 18, just start yesterday. Another parcel from sep. 23, already delivery. Another parcel sent on oct.6, already delivery. Another parcel of oct. 8, still shipment information received. As you can see, the situation is very unstable, but we hope will be ok soon.
