The problem I can see is that the name GOPOST must be included in the address, along with your account number. This makes sense, because otherwise they would not be able to use automation to deliver the mail (well, semi-automation anyway).

But who knows, it could turn out to be a good thing. I always applaud ANYTHING that is new. There will always be a window of opportunity before eBay/Amazon crack down on it.

For all of you that said it is not in your area, that is because it is still in beta testing. There are only 20 or so in the Washington DC and NYC area. But they will definitely see how successful they are and these will be everywhere.

Yes you have to put your gopost account number but you can use the street address of as many gopost locations as you want so those will be different addresses. If ebay figures this out you will be able to have multiple free accounts (person and business).

I agree this is a good thing. We just have to figure out the best way to exploit it to our advantage.

I would expect a lot of postal services to become automated like this. This will always be a need for post offices and human employees, but buying stamps and picking up delivered mail does not really require human help anymore.

UK announced one and Australia has one happening too.
