Dont forget, parcels get held for reasons other than being cake imports.
If a parcel comes in it can also be held for ( any and all of the following)
Damaged parcel. ( Not fit to be released)
Waybill incompletely filled out.
Parcel without proper address.
Size of parcel does not match manifest info.
Or, one of the VERY best I ever know about.
A parcel of DVDs not foo-foos fell off the conveyor belt and disappeared into the bowels of the airport.
It was like that parcel had jumped out of the plane mid-flight and parchuted to nowhere.
These things happen with incoming cargo.
Or, if you were landing anything at Honolulu Airport, the cargo handlers might be busy smoking special tobacco and forgot to do any work.  |
