DhGate shipping question

A recent package of mine was held by customs because the shipper had put a low value on the goods without my knowledge , I purchased it on DhGate only the second time ordering from there, my question is how do I go about getting my whole money back from the supplier, as I haven't gotten a response from them yet

I am in the need of some help regarding a DHGate order I placed last week and need to get a refund from the seller, I read there's certain things to do or not to do as far as making sure the supplier can't stiff you, is it best to go thru DhGate or directly to my cc company? Thank you

Talk to DHgate first. Email their customer service and explain what happened. They MAY request the letter you received from customs.

Whatever you do, DO NOT let your supplier con you into waiting and waiting until the complaint period is up!

Other than that, DHgate is very good about refunding money in these cases.

Use a chargeback only as a last resort.

One thing is strange about this, I have never heard of packages being seized for this reason. Maybe it is something new, but in the past they would just require you to pay a small amount of tax on the order. And even THAT almost never happened.
