i have gotten couple of generic watches before but only top quality ones

first time it got stuck . what could happen to my address ? i know package is as good as gone

i called dhl and they said custom has the pack so they will send me letter with 30 days..

anybody have any idea what will it say and what should i do?

If they are just generic watches like you have said then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

So what happened your package? they just destroy it? did you contact with customs or did they contact with you after they seized your package?

That will really depend what is in the package.

Not much has changed since 2015 with the way these things work

They sent you a letter usually giving you 4 options

One of those options is for them to destroy the items.

That letter only gets sent if the items are deemed counterfeit though

Yes, looks like the Omega watches purchased on Alibaba weren't quite as "generic" as we were led to believe. ;)

I have same problem so after we receive the letter they will destroy the package but do I need to respond that letter or just ignore it? DHL said to me they will destroy it if I do not respond back to them is that right? after they destroy it they will blacklist my address I know that too I just wondering if anyone will contact with me after this happened that we order brand shoes from China. Please if you have any experience let us know. BTW it was not under my real name I put my different name and address. I live in that address but my legal address shows my family's house address. It's a rent a apartment.

Do you have something in limbo now? Bc I'm in the same boat it looks like. I have something that was supposed to get delivered today and got the call dhl thing. And they gave me the number to customs. I honestly feel like it could be due to the flood of **** coming after Chinese new.year. Lmk how yours goes.

I received the letter from customs but I just ignored it. They will destroy it after 30 days if I do not respond them back so we will see if I receive any other letter from customs but I stop ordering same address I do not use that address any more.

Got same Issue, But it’s kinda bit strange that my pa lage was given a release from custom but when I checked again the status just changed and Asking me to call DHL and status was exemption! I’m totally freaking out because Saturday and Sunday DHL customer service is closed and I’m wondering what they gonna tell me. Pls help

Ad hoc exams can happen at any point prior to delivery so getting a clearance from customs when the shipment comes into the country does not mean you're automatically in the clear. Try calling today. There's always a chance there's something wrong with the shipment, like a missing invoice.
