I'm having trouble understanding this letter.

Did the sender forgot to include their address / a proper invoice which is why my items are being stuck at customs?

It was a big package, about 25kg.

I was reading most of the letter and it simply means that the Chinese shipper did not provide an invoice attached to the package. Every packages entering into the US requires one.

Ask the person that you bought it from to supply you one, then I would think you will need to fax it to US Customs to get your packaged cleared and delivered to you.

Does not look legit to me. I saw a misspelling and I don't see a signature. On that second page first line, it says "out" and not "our". Might not be phake, but judging by the images you sent, it does not look legit. I would definitely contact the shipper instead of contacting homeland security yourself.

I blocked out the signature and the pictures I took were from a phone to PDF app which explains the quality.

I'm pretty sure its legit as it was mailed directly to my home.

Is there any change this letter might have something to do with it being declared at a very low value? My supplier usually attached invoices but marked at only 10 percent of what its worth, or was the letter saying there was a complete absense of invoice.

I'm being throw off cuaee the letter mentions 2000 dollars worth of good.

Would the best option be just to have it sent back so my supplier can resend it? Seems like of I provide an invoice, they'll check it more heavily and I would possible have to pay a big import fee or even worse, possible seizure

If they are legit, then pay for them. The only reason for a seizure is if they suspect its f akke.

It does say in box 12 LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED FROM TRADEMARK OWNER.

Stuff was ⊗⊗⊗⊗ I presume.

Why you using home as business reception address? Not a professional move

First thing I noticed before anything else. Can't believe no one else saw this.

OP also has thread regarding too many chargebacks. I would suggest you not f*ck with DHS.

I think OP knows exactly what is going on with the letter; he is just playing dumb and asking in the most roundabout way possible for our help in fooling DHS.

Re: letter from homeland securty (pictures inside), what does it mean?

Update.

I called the number and the lady I spoke to (who was very nice) told me that my products were trademarked and that I would need some kind of letter from the trademark owner to allow these items through customs.

The letter was confusing as it said I needed an invoice but really, it was a trademark issue.

She said I would have 30 days before the items would be sent back to the sender OR they would be confiscated if the number exceeds a certain limit. She did not give me a definite answer and I am unsure of what will happen.

My package was large but it was an assortment of items and nothing exceeded 10 of any item so I am unclear of what will happen.

How many items did you have altogether?

Around 30 I believe.

The box itself was around the 30 by 30 inches and weighted at around 20 kg.

Some items were small, some big. Most of the weight was from ceramics / glass.
