Custom seized letter. Need some feedback
 

hello community

i have gotten packages from DHL for while no problem . last package that was seized was in fall but nothing happen..

Me and couple of buddy wanted to get watch so got bulk price and placed the order . everything was good paid , shipped etc

But the Package was setting at custom for last 20 days so i knew it was gonna. so ask my dealer to reship it and he did, also that package has been sitting at Custom for last 5 days.... so thats gonna as well. i am assuming after reading many post.
i think My address has been flagged i guess.

I got letter stating that your package has been seized and showed $250,000 fine for 10 watches ..

and given 5 option
"have no idea what that means, and option 2. is that U.S. Customs begin administering proceedings to forfeit the property. 3. says I abandon the property and request that U.S. Customs and border protection begin administrative proceedings to forfeit the property, and option 4 says I request that U.S. Customs and border protection send my case for court action."


Please if people can advice what to do

From what i have searched everyone says ignore the letter Has any one seen anything else happen in this kind if case ?

- Why would you try importing again to a blacklisted address? I understand you might not have realized they keep records of seized shipments.. but at least use common sense. Someone who is known to import phake stuff is going to be watched more closely than someone who isn't. At least use a different name/address/phone

- Why is USA customs messing with a package destined for Canada?

I don't know how valuable you are to your supplier but I seriously doubt they are going to reship the package a 3rd time. So you'll likely be taking an all-around loss on this one.

As for the letter I would either tell customs you are willing to forfeit the package without dispute, or ignore the problem until customs agents are banging on your door.

Good luck bud. Try to stay away from those phony watches.

I am goig to ignore the letter and see what happens wait and watchh.

I am worried about second package since first i got letter Will second one will i get same letter or no letter? Like i said last year i had package that was sezies but didn't receive and letter for that.

So few of you purchased "bulk" watches? Jesus, how many do you need? You can only wear one at a time, unless you are Flavor Flav.

Pretty sure you ordered some nasty stuff and customs are right to hold your parcel. Clearly you have ordered that sort of stuff before and they have you on a naughty list.
If I was you... I'd stop selling nasty stuff and call the customs people and tell them to burn the parcel- Say that you know nothing.

If you keep doing this, I'm pretty sure you'll get a visit and its not going to be Jehovah's Witness.

If you guys got one of those messages that a forum member requested for your information, is that usually when those lawyers start moving against certain sellers? I got one of those request information, but they never emailed me directly or anything.

oops, I worded it wrong. I meant an eBay member requesting information on eBay, not an aspkin forum member asking. That did sound funny now that I reread it. But as to mm78, I really laughed at that post. It's difficult to differentiate sarcasm when writing on the forums.

Yeah I had someone request info on me a few weeks ago, and he just wanted my phone number so he could get his large order expedited. I get so many emails that I didn't even know Ebay sends an email when a buyer does that.

I missed this question earlier.

If you had the second shipment sent to the same address, it is VERY likely that customs will be inspecting that shipment too.

I just order 20 boots from china and DHL tracking number says "Please contact DHL NEW YORK CITY GATEWAY, NY - USA" I contacted with DHL they said might be delay for delivery or customs will open packages and destroyed after I receive a letter from customs because of trade mark. So My question is should I really worry about it? Can I use different name and address for next orders? how can I find rental address ?

Yeah, those are almost certainly gone. People don't import generic shoes so there's really no need for you to answer the authenticity question, lol.

UPS stores accept DHL shipments, but your losses will add up quickly if you keep trying to import the same sort of items. You're trying to import phake shoes in the phake shoe capital of the world.

Do I need to respond that letter I receive or just ignore it? I contacted with DHL and they said customs will destroy it after 30 days. It was my first package seized by customs so I have no idea about it..
