AOL not work, one more question about VPN

I set up the AOL with a free account as told by the book. I even turned of the x-forwarded-for (XFF) through a proxy software. Then, I used IPBurger, it tells an IP address of AOL. I thought it should be ok.

Before risking my credit card and US bank account (it is hard for me to get us bank account as I am a non US resident), I gave it a test. I changed the password, and the email from ebay stated clearly my real IP! WOW!!!!

It looks AOL cannot mask your IP address.

I tried then a VPN, the returned email tell only the VPN ip address. But I still have one more question about VPN.

If the VPN connection failed when I am connected to ebay, will ebay find out then my real IP? Is there any way to prevent my computer to get online when the VPN fails. I use a ADSL modem, so the computer is always connected.

Which VPN are you using? Did you go Blacklogic like I suggested?

I used madvpn. It is based in my country and even the same city. I talked with them, and it looks reliable.

There is someone in CA Ebay discussion recommending this.
