Default Do you think this will work?

I am trying to get a Canada Ebay and Paypal account. The reason is so I don't have to provide my SSN. I know I need a Canadian Address, Canadian IP, and Canadian Phone number. I found Purevpn.com looks to be the cheapest VPN, can I buy the 10 hour plan for $2.50, which means I have 10 hours of a Canadian Ip. Then I would open a Paypal and Ebay account, then I can use auctiva with my regular US Ip from then on? Since Auctiva doesn't report IP's would this work? I know I wouldn't be able to log into my account once the Canadian Ip 10 hours is up but I could buy the bandwith plan instead if that was a problem, because I will only need to log in for shipping details and leaving feedback.

Does anyone think this would work?

I will try it out and post what happens.

I have one problem though, what do I do if I need to call Paypal for some reason? Say I get limited, and I need to call or fax something to get it removed? I would be using a number forwarding service, I couldn't call them with my U.S. number or fax, so what would I do?

You might try a service like eFax

They should be able to give you a Canadian fax number. You'd just scan the document and e-mail it. eFax makes it look like a fax from whatever your number is. In reverse people can fax to your number and you receive it as an e-mail with a .pdf attachment.

eFax is what I used when I was filing Vero counter-notices on a regular basis.

There might even be some free services out there.

Should that arise, you might say you are away on vacation . Make sure that you have ID & security questions. Be confident.

It may work but how are you supposed to pay ebay fees. Why don't you buy a VPN router for like $30 they go cheap on ebay. It allows you to create up to 5-8 vpns on a Dedicated IP.

After I made this thread I was thinking, I just need to go with $24 for 6 months.

Can you explain how I would use a VPN router? Would I be able to have my normal router working at the same time? I don't understand how it works, would I have to buy a service for it?

Default The Ip won't be a problem Lakeman !

you can sign up canadian accounts from a USA ip address.
You can log in whenever you want as long as the ip has not been used for another suspended account. You will need to do a phone verification , but you can change the number whenever you want , it doesn't have to be the number you used to register.

Please correct me if I am wrong ... but this has worked for me

Yes, I am using my U.S bank account, I have done everything but add a Credit Card. I had 2 Vanilla Visa's but I registered them with two other accounts I made(in the U.S.) I plan to pick up a Vanilla Visa tonight and add it to my account. So far it looks good. :D

Yea, it is kinda easy to make a Canada account. You just need some photoshop skills. If you look a little into some other forums you can get dedicated vpn's for $5.

I have bad news, my Canadian Account got suspended and I have no idea why. I listed 2 very cheap items, one a couple days after the other and then I got a suspension email with no description, but the title says abusing Ebay. I emailed asking why, there response is below. I really wanted to keep this account to get by the SSN. But now they are asking for all of this info and its a stealth account. What do I do?

Hello,

Thank you for writing to eBay. My name is Raymond, and I appreciate the
chance to assist you regarding your account.

Your account was suspended from eBay due to the violation of our policy
as explained in Section 9 of the eBay User Agreement. The section is
entitled "Breach" and states:

"Without limiting other remedies, we may limit your activity,
immediately remove your bids or item listings, warn our community of
your actions, issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend
or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you:
(a) if you breach this Agreement or the documents it incorporates by
reference; (b) if we are unable to verify or authenticate any
information you provide to us; or (c) if we believe that your actions
may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us."

This action has been taken for the safety of all eBay members. This is
no reflection on yourself and could possibly be due to oversight or
privacy concerns. To be considered for reinstatement, you must submit
the following:

1. A printed and completed copy of the Request for Reinstatement Form.
To access this form, enter the following address in the location or
address field of your Web browser:

eBay.com - SafeHarbor Request for Reinstatement

IMPORTANT NOTE: If your eBay contact information is your work address,
please send official documentation to validate this. Be sure to include
a valid telephone number, your email address and your eBay User ID on
all documents you submit to us.

2. A copy of your driver's license or other government issued ID, with
your name and address clearly visible.

3. Documentation showing your current address. This can be any ONE of
the following:

- A copy of a recent credit card statement (a copy of the actual credit
card is not acceptable). Or

- A copy of a recent bank statement. Or

- A copy of a recent utility bill. Recent copy of a Utility bill
(Walmart, Bank statement, Sears, Hydro, Water, etc.) or a certificate
from a supplier of utilities confirming the arrangement to pay for
services on pre-payments terms. Mobile phone bills are not acceptable.

If you are concerned about including sensitive information, such as your
credit card number, please black out all but the first and last four
digits. When doing so, keep in mind that your full name and address must
be legible for us to process your request.

Any contact information listed on the documents you submit with your
appeal must be consistent with the contact information listed on your
eBay registered account. If there are any discrepancies between the
contact information you submit to us and that registered to your eBay
account, you must provide an explanation for these discrepancies, as
well as documentation that confirms your explanation.

Please fax the completed information to:

Attention: eBay - Section 9 Appeals
Fax Number: 877-349-1798

If you are outside the United States, please use the following fax
number:

Attention: eBay - Section 9 Appeals
Fax Number: 001 + 801-545-2700

Be sure to include the User ID and email address of the suspended
account you're appealing on the Request for Reinstatement Form. If your
fax does not contain this information, it will not be processed.

Please allow 7-10 business days for your appeal to be processed.
Emailing us before that time will result in delays.

Any and all documents submitted to us will be destroyed after the
information has been reviewed and verified.

Please note that our goal is to see you trading on eBay again. We have
developed this process in order to help ensure that eBay continues to be
a fair and safe place to trade.

Regards,

Raymond G.
