Closing bank question

If I want to close my bank account because I don't need the account at the moment and I don't want to pay the monthly fees. How will this effect the PayPal should I remove bank from PayPal before I close the bank account? Or can I just close bank and leave bank on PayPal?

By the way I do plan to add a sub account at my main bank that has free checking that's why I'm closing this one.

If the account is currently linked to your PayPal, you can close it with your bank without issues. After you've done that, then remove the account from PP to avoid withdrawing to it by accident.

Just be aware if you plan on using your PP, you need some bank account to withdrawal to, otherwise requesting a check sent to you will be the only other way to get money out of it.

You can remove the bank account without any issues. No way for paypal to know if the account is live or not.
Be sure to not use the bank account for any purpose once that's done though or paypal will know its closed and remove it from your account themselves - a move that can result in an issue for the account.
