Default New EBay Stealth account ZERO selling limits?

I did purchase and read eBay Stealth. Followed the directions for starting a new account. Got on, began listing my first item, when I hit "List It" it said I have zero selling limits. Anyone know??

Just go onto live chat and say I am trying to sell but have no selling limits. Then they will ask a few questions and give you the basic 10 items.

Well just call in and speak clear, confident and even dumb. "Hello I've just opened my eBay account to sell some of my belongings that I no longer need. Can you please tell me why it says I have no limits? Blah blah what are you going to sell? Personal or brand new items?". Keep chatting **** and act dumb if you want. Then they'll give you selling limits it really is piss easy.

Wow, wonder why I never thought of this easy fix after all these years... oh, yeah, it won't work, that's why.

You got zero limits because the information you used to open your EB is suspect or you triggered a bot, google voice or some other abused phone service, non-existent street address, tried to move from buyer to seller account too fast, didn't use a new user account on your computer, logged in from a public or mis-used ip, re-used old info or pictures, the possible reasons are endless.

Calling in and acting like you're stupid ( even if it's true ) won't fix these problems.

But you can try... it's not like you don't have endless hours to talk to some truly stupid ESL service rep in India or South America...

Won't work? LOL!

Where were you 3 years ago when the entire forum collectively had a meltdown when I posted a screen recording of my call with eBay doing EXACTLY that? I went from 0 items to 50 in 3 mins on the phone with a cute sounding American rep. She was super nice.

It's easier than a cakewalk, even using Google Voice. In fact, using Google voice and starting with 0/0 limits actually ends up with HIGHER than average starting limits for most of my accounts (average being 10/1000).

So go pout in your corner and leave your misinformation off the forum please and thanks.

Also, the limit increase reps are AMERICAN, get your facts straight. You've obviously never tried calling eBay for a limits increase.....

Thanks for clarifying GhostOfAmazon I have done this with some new accounts and it has always worked.

Bit easier with the UK having the live chat but I've phoned in before with the same results.

It seems like a lot of people go by hear say and never try things off their own back and most importantly thinking outside the box. Which in this case isn't necessary because it is simple.

If it has taken someone years to come to the conclusion that this simple method of increasing limits doesn't work without even trying then I suggest they get out of the game.

I've never had to call in since I started in 2011, I've never opened an account that had zero limits, and never had to call to have my limits increased, so I suppose I'm a complete failure.

Congratulations to the rest of you, though.

I don't think anyone said you was a complete failure did they.

I just don't understand why you tried to contribute to a post or should I say argue against my reply when you have never tried to call in for a limit increase. So clueless on the matter.

I don't "have to" call in on any accounts either. Rather, I choose what works best for me.

I've had plenty of accounts get "natural" increases, but sometimes, I want to increase the limits on my own timeline, not someone elses.

Also, you just admitted you have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Please, if you have no clue, just refrain from sharing your advice. It's better to say nothing than to give bad advice. If someone messages you and asks you specifically, just reply and tell them you've never experienced that situation and suggest they ask someone else. I've had to do it plenty of times. No one is an expert on EVERYTHING.

And instead of preaching from your high horse, recognize that this forum caters to ALL levels of stealth, from the experts to the brand new first suspended. A lot of newbies need to get back to selling TODAY, they can't deal with 10 items per month, and they might not have the capital or perhaps they just want to be self sufficient so buying accounts isn't an option. For the THOUSANDS of people who fit this description, calling eBay works just fine (that's why eBay has a limits increase request button----because 90% of eBay users get increases that way.)

Anyways, this horse has been killed, zombified, killed again, resurrected, stabbed with a stake, Frankenstein, and then shot with a silver bullet too many times.

Bottom line: Don't rub your nose where it doesn't belong. You probably have knowledge about a lot of things, but calling eBay CLEARLY isn't one of them.

And for the record, I don't think I'm some guru of calling eBay.

Any IDIOT can call eBay and get a limits increase, but THAT'S THE POINT. It's easy for ANYONE to do! Everyone deserves a chance at success on eBay with stealth, and my method makes it easy for everyone. No complex algorithm to follow, no special method, no expensive equipment or special browsing, no finding the right address, etc etc etc... Just follow basic stealth and pick up the phone, and you're done.
