Constant 'Confirm its you' popup when logging into eb

Ive been skipping the 'verify by phone' popup every time I log into my stealth eb because I'm not sure how to do it safely.

Acct age is 4+yrs, created with gv#. Two years ago I added my cell phone number to the account and, i think I may have even completed a pin type phone verification on the new cell phone number at one time.

But Everytime after login I get the 'help make eb a safe place' popup with the old gv# instead of the new number.

I do have access to the gv but rather not use that number, anymore. Thanks.

This pops up on any account which hasn't been updated in a year.

You can either have them send the code to the cell phone you added (or your GV number if you never removed it), or you can keep skipping it. If you go ahead and confirm the code you will stop getting that notice.

Trust me I know where you're coming from lol. For like a year I was afraid to do anything because I didn't have phone access. Finally I just added a GV to eBay and clicked "send code". Haven't seen that message since - but I wouldn't say it strengthened my account in any noticeable way.

I have that on all accounts and I honestly don't care much about it.

One of my accounts got no choice but to confirm and it's very simple. I just added a new number, confirm and that's it.

It is not a big deal.
