Old thread. Hope you're still around OP.
You'll get a check in the mail. You have an option to appeal their decision on the website, which is what you'll need to do to get the postage refund. When making the claim always include everything you lost on the shipment, not just the value of the contents. I always include a screenshot of the stamps.com postage record with my claims (which shows the postage I paid), and they usually include that amount when they mail me a check.
