 Big time help needed- not enough bank funds- what will happen
LONG STORY
Ok so I sold about $6000 worth of items to a guy. We had made a deal that I would use the money to buy the items. Paypal limits the funds and wants tracking etc. I tell him whats going on and I agree to give him a refund. I try to refund. Nothing happens. I call paypal thinking maybe its because im trying to send money while limited. I currently had a -$15.00 balance due to a dispute someone opened that they were investigating. They inform me that I didnt have enough money because of that negative balance. Now paypal system doesnt think oh hes got 5900 we only need 100. No it tried to pull the entire $6000 from my bank account. I have no where near that in there so im like its going send me into crazy overdraft. Paypal tells me that there is nothing they can do until the bank funds are pulled from the bank. They also inform me that my account cannot be unlimted until after this. So im sitting here with like 5700 or so in the account that I cant refund to the person because apparently it would send my account into negative because of the disputes. I wait and call my bank after a few days and ask them about the sudden withdrawl and they are like yeah it came through we sent paypal a message electronically yesterday about insufficient funds. So im like ok well thats good so now I can get this taken care of. In the meantime i notice in my account history it says that the guy has been refunded. I talk to him and he says he got him money back. So now im just like WTF. So I call paypal and im like ok the bank said you guys received electronically that i didnt have sufficient funds. I really need to get this taken care of. Just issue a refund to the guy, i dont care if my account goes negative because it was negative before. Just give him a refund then ill go negative and pull money from my bank account. Im told I need to speak with someone to handle the disputes first because I cant get the account unlimited until the disputes are closed. Now im thinking oh god here it comes. I get on the phone with a woman and im like look I just want to issue the guy a refund. Shes like who the disputes you have open and im like no not them i want you to keep investigating them because they are so obviously fraud but ill prob lose anyway. I just want to give this guy his money and they tell me hes already been issued a refund. I explain the situation again. She puts me on hold and comes back and is like ok we got that limitation taken care of youre good to go your account is in good standing again. Im floored. but I also have this $6000 in there. I moved it to my bank account because if they bitch I can always just move it back but whos going to come after me for the money. Is the refund suddenly going to disappaer from the guy and hes going to have to get it from me. Is paypal suddenly just going to say my account is negative for $6000. Is the FBI going to suddenly knock on my door wondering why i embezzled thousands. Anything like this ever happen to anyone. Help Help Help.
