Ebay doesn't extract info off PDF files??
When my customers wanted to send items back, I used to send return labels by either e-mailing them the label or uploading to Ebay (Labels were 90% of the time purchased through Ebay).
I just opened all of my returns on Ebay and checked their details. Ebay is only showing the address the item was sent back to and no name next to it.
What drew my attention is that you can search your returns by 4 different methods on Ebay - that is using one of the following:
1. By browsing the type of the return (e.g: closed, open, sent, in processing...etc).
2. By the username of the customer.
3. By the article's number.
4. By tracking's number.
As you can see, you can't look up a return by the address it was sent back to or the person.
I used to upload return labels that don't have any tracking information at all. Just a barcode and address information.
Now that all my returns have been closed, I can't see the label I uploaded to Ebay at all. Do you think Ebay purges these return-labels once the return process is closed?
Ebay knows the address where the item was sent back because the label was purchased via Ebay. I think when you just upload a PDF document to Ebay, they won't extract info out of it. The reason I am starting to believe this is because when you want to upload a return label, Ebay asks you with what courier the item is going to be sent back and if you have a tracking number or not.
If they were extracting info, why would they ask me to choose with what courier and what the tracking number is.
What is your experience with this?
