Default Company threatening to sue me

So i sell VERO and i have an annoying company that wants to sue me. I have taken down the listings and moved them to another account but they continue to send threatening letters. I could just close the account and disappear but this is my main stealth account with an EIN attached. Can this company find me? The account is 100% stealth but obviously 2 things are legit which is my EIN and my bank account. So can they find me if they really wanted too or should i not worry about it.

How? None of the info i have is real. And the info that is real is something ebay would have to hand over.

Subpoena , really depends on how much of their stuff you sold, I just settled for $1500 , because I told them that is all I sold.

No one is going to sue anyone over a few hundred bucks, even thousands...

They will if they are being paid to do it by the company.

Just to make an example out of him? I guess that's possible but if OPs sales are a few 100s bucks, then even in a case of a default, they'd get a pretty small judgement.

Remember, the bigger the sales, the bigger the case.

A good way of checking how aggressive the plantiff is, is to check their company's name on pacer to see if they filed any suits before. Those could be an eye-opening experience. On the other hand, if they filed none, I'd tell them to go F themselves. Not a penny, not a dime. Period. There's this saying that if you give in to an extortion artist once, then you'll keep giving in to his demands at every other point in the interaction. And that's what most of those lawfirms are - extortion artists, as they are blatanly extorting money from random people online under the threat of a civil action.

P.S. I'm not a lawyer and this is not a legal advice. I'm just sharing my opinion. Ultimately, it's all up to you..

wait a minute, they sent you a cease and desist letter and you stopped and you still get threats?

They can't keep doing that. Sounds like they didn't update their end of stuff and keep sending this to you.

I think they can. Even if you comply with C&D, the plantiff still can take action against you. In other words, simple compliance with C&D doesn't make this go away..

Did you sign the c&d agreement and did you pay for their lawyer fees?
And if everything is stealth how do they send you any letters?

What does this have to do with me..I'm just sharing what I know. I did extensive research on these types of issues, so I was just telling OP my view of it.

I don't know why but I just get so angry when I hear about various "law-firms" extorting cash out of random people like this. Like someone said before; copyright laws were meant to feed starving artists and now they help feed starving lawyers.

The law firm is Morrison / Lee. They sent a cease and desist letter to a stealth email. They don't have my real name, address or phone number. I haven't signed anything. I just emailed them back that I don't any more of there products and that I bought them at auction so I don't know if they are VERO or not. They replied wanting to discuss more, I just ignored it.

If they pursue this further and contact ebay and paypal they can get the EIN. That will lead them directly to you very fast as it is on your REAL name.
If you stopped selling those products id say ignore it since there is no more incentive for them to pursue this and put money into getting the necessary court orders to find who you really are. If youre still selling them though - better quit doing so NOW.

Hello there, what was the result of this?
Did the company leave you alone? Did you receive a lawsuit letter?
Please reply
Thanks
