Default ebay cases - how to automatically deal with them

Hi!

I just found that selling internationally it's being hard dealing with ebay cases all the time, and it's easy to have your account in bad standing.
I take the work to put all tracking numbers but sometimes the item it's not traceable and the buyer click on "Ask us to step in" and if I don't act fast, the customer support will issue them a refund and affect my account.

Is there a way to automatically issue a refund to the buyers immediately after they "ask them to step in"?

If you're wanting to issue refunds then you should issue them before they ask to step in. To answer your question - no there isnt and you're also going to lose your fees and it hurts your account a hell of a lot more.

If youre hoping tracking shows delivery then wait until the day before and just issue the refund then.

you use ebays return automation for this stuff. Odds are you need an ebay store. Cases closed without a seller resolution is the fastest way to loose an ebay account. It is the worst offense to ebay.

Wish Ebay would exclude certain scenarios to this i.e. cases with a delivered tracking # and customers claiming a no show. Your word vs theirs and no other way to resolve other than Ebay stepping in. Plus you'll win it every time. But account takes a hit. Ebay logic.

Why is that?, you do get ample time to deal with messages and cases, so where you are selling from doesn't quite matter.

If you WIN the case, it is not a defect ever. I escalate to ebay every Monday. Win every time and have zero defects on any of my accounts.
Then you contact them and all feedback is removed from won cases.
