I don't think it's gone. 30-45 day delivery times are fairly common with EMS.

You know the contents, so you know the likely answer.

If nothing risky, it will likely turn up. I had 2 EMS packages(small items) purchased and shipped the same day. One was at my door in 6 days, the other took 2 months.

If the items are nothing dogey I expect it will eventually show up

All my EMS packages take exactly 7 days, I'm not sure if there are different levels of EMS shipping but the package should not be in Customs for very long (if it's going to be released).
