Ebay Stealth for Buyer Account?

Hi, I know people here mostly use accounts for selling, I'm my case I used mine for buying and then selling on ML (Mexico's Version of Ebay, not from ebay, they are not linked) , it all started because here in Mexico electronics are SO DAMN EXPENSIVE, ALMOST DOUBLE.

Anyway, I used my account normally for about 3 or 4 months with 100% positive feedback, I used my Mexican paypal account, with my Mexican bank credit and debit card attached and had a PO box in a city in the border.

out of the blue I was banned and was told (by phone) that it was because It was linked to a previous account (I guess because of my paypal) that I created (with a previos email) but never used (not for buy nor sell) back in 2011 (I honestly didn't even remembered that account). I offered to do everything they told me but I was just told "nah, it's a final decision".

I stopped doing it and thought of letting it go, but I just graduated college and student loan payments are a bitch, I could really use the extra income... my old PO Box expired so I got another one in a different city (but equally nearby), got a new debit and savings account in BoA and I could obviously get a VPN and an American phone number, what I cannot get is a SSN.

after all this lengthy and annoying story, my questions are

does the ebay Stealth Book will help me on getting a functional buyer ebay account?, will I be able to bid, pay and do things normally with a paypal account?, should I get it or its only useful for people who want to create seller accounts?, would I have any kind of restrictions as a buyer?.

I was thinking on going what I thought was the easy way and buy an account here at the marketplace but I was told those are for sellers, does anybody have any suggestions?

Your cheapest way forward would be to buy a basic account from a seller here (5/500 selling limits) + maybe a VPN for a new IP, and then use the account only for buying. Should be about $50 for the account. You could make one yourself for less but you run the risk of messing up since you're inexperienced with stealth accounts.

Biggest obstacles are becoming "confirmed" and "verified" which the account sellers would be happy to help you with. You would need to add your shipping address to the PP account you buy and then confirm the address using a VCC.

that's actually what I wanted, and yes... I tried doing it my myself following the guide and i think i made something wrong, I won 2 auctions (almost at the same time) and I got suspended, I wasn't even allowed to make the payment, everything was so fast.

I could be wrong as I'm not clear on this part but wouldn't your bank debit card have your real name which in turn is linking your accounts?

And dont worry I went thru 2 accounts before I got one that works flawlessly (so far lol) I used a vanilla visa from walmart to verify my account and when I buy I use ebay gift cards to pay.

I didnt even got to that part, I got paypal with only the routing and account number, (it didnt have the debit account yet) and I haven't made the payment yet and still got banned, should I try to get that account reinstated or is it better to start all over?, I had won two great auctions:(.

The quality of your VPN could be the issue... and yes, you debit card says your name and info when linked. Did you use a US bank account?

You do not need a stealth account for buying. I've been purchasing items on ebay with my genuine information for years without any issue. I've done this on multiple accounts.... Not a single ban unless you attempt selling.

i was able to get the accoun reinstated [getting in contact with the rep and following the eBay Stealth steps]. although i haven't completed any purchases yet and with what you told me I'm a little afraid.

BUT... I made the Paypal account a Mexican Paypal Acc (since I figure it be easier to validate) and when I validated with both my account number from BoA and Debit Card from a Mexican Bank neither of those times I was asked for Name.

the question is ...they didnt asked me for my name name neither of those time... am I safe or they can trace me?.

Your card information includes your name at all times. Also you are in a different country than the original account so you should be fine. The only hiccup is that Mexican paypals follow different rules.
