The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
That's true...you could just create a new stealth account without SSN, but you may be intentionally providing a tax ID to pre-empt the PayPal 200-item/$20k request for a tax ID, which I think is smart.
You may need to apply for a new EIN.
Assuming the EIN that got snagged was the EIN registered to your personal name (i.e. your sole proprietorship), you will not be allowed to get a new EIN for yourself per se, but it seems that you could get an EIN for a newly formed company that is not a sole proprietorship. One possibility is a single-member limited liability corporation or SMLLC. There is some information about that here: https://www.limitedliabilitycompanyc...single-member/
I have never tried the above. It's just an observation.

That EIN was my sole proprietorship, I only run my account by myself.
Can I open a new EIN under newly formed company even though it is a sole proprietorship?
No, I don't believe you can, because sole proprietorship essentially means "you" personally. You'll be seen as the same entity as your existing sole proprietorship, in tax terms. That's why I think you need to use a new form of company to succeed in getting the next EIN.

That's a bust, I only had this business going now i'm be in a bad spot oh wells
Don't lose hope. You can still just create a stealth account, or several of them, without SSN. Stay under the radar and continue to sell.
Quite a bit of work managing multiple accounts, opening new bank acc etc.
What choice do I have though right since this was my only source of income
I just gotta be real careful this time
Im pretty new to all of this so I could be wrong but cant you just get a DBA on you're LLC and essentially you'll have a new EIN and continue to sell under that. Or if all else fails cant you just form a new LLC for like $500 on legalzoom and continue with a new EIN.

That’s what I’m trying to avoid, having to make an LLC, might just have to spread through multiple accounts
Can you make unlimited LLCs, and also how much does it cost to start up in California
I know about the annual fee and it does seem worth it once I get back up and running successfully that might just take a few months though.
I used to deal with that nonsense until I just got a Canadian paypal account. Then you don't have to worry about it and they NEVER ask for SSN, probably because they don't have that in Canada. There is a guy in the forums here that sell those accounts...they are worth their weight in gold!

Which guy? And you've never had trouble with the paypal account?
No I haven't, and no i'm not that account seller although I did buy my paypal account from him. Every year it mentions something about taxes since you sell on eBay U.S. and it gives you the option of choosing that you are not a U.S. citizen and subject to those taxation issues. One click you are done. Account has close to 3000 feedback and I've had it for 6 years now. Save yourself the headache.
