What percentage of your eBay buyers are refund scammers?

So, I am guessing by now, the majority of eBay sellers are well aware of the classic 'return a brick in a box' scam that eBay buyers have been executing and then getting all their money back and the item.

I would like to find what percentage of your buyers have been scammers?

2% maybe. I don't sell expensive items though. It's a risk you take

1-3 %, I sell cheap items though. So it's kind a bearable loss.

My items have a price range of 5-15 $.

I think it depends on the category, when it comes to electronics, VIDEO GAMES, and something a long those lines the fraud is higher.

You kinda just think about the type of person who purchases certain things would do certain things or not.

Anything electronic has a huge risk of fraud. Cell phones, game consoles, etc.

anything they can resell or quickly turn into cash-electronics esp iphone,games,precious metal like gold coin,gold bar,silver coins.
or they need a part so they bought yours and strip the part they need.
the price does play a part,it aint worth the time and risk to scam low price items,if they do it too many times,Ebay will ban their buying privilege as they are a hazard to the seller community.
so be sure you report the scammer

digital goods ,services like drywall,plumbing,yoga lessons,catering,haircut,massage ,tour guide,rent,lodging.
a renter pays his rent via paypal and has 180 days to file item not received,thats 6 months worth of free living
One caterer even cater a wedding party and get a dispute of item not received open

I sell many electronics, most of which are expensive, anywhere from 175-1100
I have been scammed maybe 1-2x out of 10000 sales
I don't focus on this small hiccups
Only on expansion and moving forward

My items I sell are usually $20 or less and just had a buyer complain about something I know is not even possible. I checked their feedback, clicked "search for feedback left as buyer" and it's all negatives and neutrals. Most of the time I don't even hassle with returns, I just refund. My refund/return rate is about 1-2% but I don't know how much of that I would consider scam/bad buyers. It's a cost of doing business on eBay for sure and can be frustrating sometimes but just gotta keep on truckin.
