Default Keep it slow, I hear this a lot with a new Stealth account

Hi All,

I hear the word keep sales slow, with a new account, what is considered slow?
selling in Health/Diet supplements market, do ebay get nervous even though I have uploaded tracking numbers with all sales(Can the hit you with a suspension)?

Also sending with tracking numbers is a killer on the profits, how long until I can send normal First class post?

1month?, 2 months?, 3months?

Confused HELPPPPP!

Thanks

Depends on price, for cheap stuff (under 15 euros) maybe maxium 7 or 8 items per day for first month. For more expensive stuff then maybe 1-2 items a day at 50e a day and so on

Have at least 5 accounts waiting in the wings is the best policy

Keep one in good health one you can try and sell a bit faster and take a chance

Are tracking numbers vital? I had a account blocked once because I done £1000 in 1 week on a new account, then they suspended the account and said that I need to show proof of postage/tracking info etc.....
And it was a legit account!!! was gutted.

Did they close it because you couldn't provide tracking

Yeah..... don’t bump your own thread after one hour of posting....

Back to the topic

I go slowly over 6 weeks to 3 months but I am not selling in your category.

That category can be a bit elitist....older sellers may stalk newer accounts.

And eBay will watch too.

My method is generally this

Register Account
Do a little browsing / Watch some items / Ask a few questions to sellers

After 3 days of the above
List first item - Generally a used book, 7 day auction

Give that 3 days to start appearing on eBay, I always do a really crappy listing, bad pics, bad description. You want to make ebay think you are genuinely a newbie.

Another used product that I have no intention of selling, a little higher in price, maybe $30-$50 - 7 Day Auction

If all good and no account issues, usually its been two weeks, I will list my first 'proper item'. I am a dropshipper so I chose something from a supplier near me, this listing is a little better, still with a quantity of 1 but the first 'new' item I list.

Wait a few days and if still no account issues I will start increasing the amount of items by 1 or 2 each day, having a break every now and then. I am happy to do this for a month or two (as I grow multiple accounts simultaneously).)

Once I get to 10 items sold and feedback received I think I am generally in the clear after 90 days I think its up to me to stuff up to get a suspension/restriction.

I will list 10 plus items a day after 90 days.

I do purchase most of my accounts so selling limits aren't of a concern for me. If I were to grow an account from scratch I would be calling towards the end of the second month where I have started to get tracking saying delivered and postitive feedback received.

There is no such thing as going too slow

they usually mc011 if you sell to much but it is unpredictable.
I got mc011 on a 4 month acc with 70 feedback yesterday.
People say after 12 month an acc is "safe" from mc011 but i heard ppl are getting mc011 after 16 month.
make many accs. every 2nd will survive
