Halifax Closed my accounts

Halifax have closed my accounts. Got a letter in the post. States "A recent risk assessment on your accounts has highlighted.....bla bla bla" you get the idea.

There is a credit balance and in order to take it out I need to

"You will also need proof of where the credit balance has come from - for example your wage slips or cheque verification"

The funds came from stealth paypal accounts.

Any help with how I provide this to them?

Who told you to use personal account for that?

I doubt if it matters that the account is stealth. As long as you can show the Halifax that the money went through a PayPal account. They'll be on the lookout for money laundering.

Show them eBay and PayPal details / sales.

Were you sending in large amounts of money from Paypal to your Bank acccount?

A personal account is irrelevant in this case.
His account did not get closed because it was savings / personal.

It is far more advantageous to use savings account with stealth than a current account.
