I don't know if you should all be worried, or if this was just for me because of all the bumping heads with Paypal and all the words I had with them on the phone, and because the account was limited already, but Paypal informed Rushcard.com to not complete my transaction if the name on the card (Rush Card) didn't match the name on the Paypal, which it didn't of course.
I had this Paypal account (with over 1,000 in it) limited over 180 days ago. They finally sent me an email stating that my account was still limited but I could now withdraw funds.
First I put in for the transfer to the account on file which was Netspend/ MetaBank.
Little did I know that Paypal had already gotten to Netspend. I waited about 5 days before posting in this forum to find out I wasn't getting the money. The money was finally sent back to my Paypal account 8 days later. Paypal only said that the bank account was not valid.
So then I use a Rush card from Chase bank I had on back up to attempt to withdraw the funds.
I submitted the card to Paypal, and 3 days later the deposits were made and I verified the account. Now I put in for another transfer to rush card.
So now for the 2nd time I am really counting on getting this money after waiting so long. About 4 days go by I still don't have the money and now I'm worried again.
I call up Rush card and told them I put in for this transfer from Paypal and have been waiting 4 days.
They put me on hold for about 15min. (on a cell phone) and then they say that the money is there but they can't put it on my card because the name on the card doesn't match the name on the Paypal account.
First i say what difference does this make to them and I start getting pretty angry with the guy, yelling and such, telling him it's my friends Paypal account and I am helping him by using my card, then cuts me off and he says, "wait, wait, this is not actually our policy," He says Paypal had informed them not to complete my transaction if the name on the card didn't match the name on the Paypal account.
So now I calm down with the guy, (keep in mind this is the second time around with this same situation and after waiting 180 for Paypals b.s to pass)
I was extremely pissed!!!!!!!
So now I start telling the guy about how Paypal basically has a license to steal just because they are not a bank and all the laws that should apply to them don't and I told him I have done alot of research and found that Paypal dishes out account limitations to the innocent like Grandma dishes out fresh baked cookies. I just went on and on about how Paypal sucks.
The guy was pretty cool actually, (real cool) and I told him that "we" (me and my "buddy") were partners on ebay, and we have already waited 180 days and now; after all we have went through trying to get our money; Paypal is still trying to see that we don't get it; and that it's my buddies account; and they already screwed him once when he tried to get "his money through Netspend, and that I decided to put my card as the bank account on file for him so we could get "our" money we worked so hard to get and waited so long for, and I just went on and on about how paypal basically flat out robs you and he then said he would look into it more and put me on hold for another 15min or so.
He comes back to say, "I personally put in a request to have the funds added to your card based on the information you gave me. "The request will then be investigated more thoroughly by our management within the next 2-4 days. This was at about 4:00pm. He then asked If there is anything else he can do and I said "No, Not unless you can get me my money now." He chuckled and said, check your account later and hung up.
I was like ok. The next morning I checked thinking it's still not going to be there but it was. They guy put it through!
F**k-In Finally!! Justice!! After over 180 days I went to the ATM and fanned myself with the cash smiling and yelling F**K you Paypal!!.
Anyhoo... like I said, I don't know if anyone else has had problems with Rush Card, or if was just my situation but If you are trying to get your cash after waiting the 180 days, use a real bank account, not a debit card.
Soon if not already, we are not going to be able to use any debit card for bank account verification. I mean we will be able to use it for verification, but we will not be able to get our cash.
They shouldn't verify the account if they are going to screw you later, but that's why they do it. To screw you later! If we never get the cash guess who does. That's how they think. They talk about how much they loose from scammers every year, I guarantee they cover their losses and them some by screwing the innocent.
