Need Advice Regarding Limited PP

Hi !

Hope someone can help me with this problem.. Because I really do not want to do something (else to jeopardize my pp account)
My PP account was opened approx 11 years ago, all my details were 100% legit.
Never used the account much, sold an item or 3 a year - no issues.
Married my long term (19 yrs) BF after he was diagnosed terminal - he wanted to pass as a married man :(
Fast forward, I never bothered changing PP into my married name and the bank account was closed due to inactivity.
I flew to the USA as I do every year (daughter married an American)
and while I was here sold a few items on my eBay for extra spends - delivered and positive feedback received.
During a moment of idiocy I put 2 way authentication on my account and got locked out (generator gave wrong codes) COVID 19 struck and after a bazillion emails to every PayPal email address I could find (couldn’t log in for Customer service) they removed the 2 way and locked my account wanting documentation.
I have my passport (married name) and birth certificate with me, also have access to my bank info (also married name) and it’s NOT the one on my PP.
What do I do? I desperately need the $$ in the account and who knows how long I will be locked down for.

There is also an option in paypal ( or was ) to change your name, you just need to supply the marriage cert to do this but like soldier says you might wait a while.

I have tried calling, emailing- even tried my hand at Twitter (now that was a laugh) but the replies that I have had is please supply the documents.
One rep said the only reason is the new EU policies.....

I get that - do I wait till phone support is available or submit all docs with marriage certificate etc and hope they understand?
