eBay PayPal Glitch Report: Packing Slips and Shrinking Pics
Sellers have been complaining about PayPal's new packing slips this week. A PayPal spokesperson acknowledged that there is a problem. "The issue with packing slips was due to a coding error. We’re working on putting the old page back while we resolve the error, so it should be fixed tomorrow or very shortly afterward."
Meanwhile, searching for items in eBay's media category sometimes brings back miniature images. A seller who wrote in said the problem stems from listings that use eBay's pre-filled information in the media category. " I realize I can host my own pictures but they touted how easy it is to use ebay's pre-filled information in the media category so I now have over 1500 items listed using their stock photos and the pictures are tiny! Ebay stressed that good, large photos are a key to success and now they have these tiny photos for all media items. I believe my sales have dropped considerable since this has happened. Who is going to buy a $40 architecture book when you can hardly see the cover?"
I'm not sure when the photo problem started, I noticed it earlier this afternoon, and I took this snapshot of a random John Grisham book this evening. There's no announcement about either problem on the systems boards as of yet.
