Bank information missmatch.

Hi, recently had a problem when opening new accounts, instead of forwarding me to upload id section they say my banking information does not match the bank account and they deactivate the shop, anyone had simiral issues?

Yes, when entering banking information. Seems weird, created 5 stealths today 2 went down this way, maby socks were a problem no idea :/

It's impossible for them to match bank account details with name. It's not how these things work.

Do you think they use the AVS system with bank accounts? I change to stealth address on a bank account a few days before registering on et sy.

I don't believe there's proper infrastructure for that. AVS with cards is another story.

Issue described by OP is caused by creation method, not bank account mismatch, which once again I believe currently is impossible to verify since there's no unified system banks use, compared to cards which uses one of few networks such as visa, etc.

name of your bank account must agree with your Etsy account,your shop name can be different

No AVS on bank accounts just cards

Sounds more like a creation issue than a bank issue unless your using a blacklisted bank

They didnt use to have to match.
They do now.

Might depend on your country though. And what info they allow accessible.
