Opinion of PayPal Gurus is really needed!!

Someone I know decided he wants to work "online" now and is in the process of building a Shopify Drop-Shipping store. He will be using PayPal as part of his payment setup and he created a seperate business PP account for this.


Between this guy's personal private PP account and my PP business account, there have been few sent & received payments as "Family & Friends".


This guy is sloppy as hell and I am 100% sure PP will ban his business account soon, I am now worried my business will be brought to a halt because of this



In your estimation, if PP bans his newly created business account (which never exchanged money with my own accont) and leaves his personal account intact (which exchanged money with my own account), will that potentially save me the hassle?

I think it will yes.

But my thinking is they might link his biz with his personal account.

Even that I don't see why they'd ban all accounts that did F&F WITH him.
I'm guessing he did that with a lot other people

It should take a while before he gets the hammer. He needs traffic to fly and he's not getting that soon. Hopefully, the time it takes for his business to grow would have pushed your transactions with him to ancient history. Fingers crossed you should be OK.

Is PayPal known for suspending the accounts that did F&F with a banned account?


Do these F&F transactions become irrelevant if enough time has passed (say 2 or 3 years)?

No, just like I said initially.

I think it will be fine. I do it all the time, I make temporary accounts to sell high risk items, don't link a bank account, and then when the Ebay gets suspended I empty the Paypal into my own personal one, via "family and friends".
In the past two years I have probably sent over 40k from over 30 paypals that are now banned, and nothing bad has happened to my personal account. So don't worry about it too much!

I get and send FF paypal regularly for many years.. No issues for me. I cash out some accounts this way. I pay several hundred thousand dollars to an over seas vendor FF yearly. Many of the accounts receiving and who sent have been banned. No problems if you have a good account and offer excellent service.
