If you use live traffic stats, you can actually watch them browsing your website to the checkout process. I think their IP whois actually points directly to Paypal Germany (they might use "normal" looking T-Online dynamic IPs now though).
But yeah, they care about the domain. Subdmain might be working, but it's risky, better set up new domains and new VPS with new IP (or Cloudflare reverseproxy). Or you could use a custom plugin for your shopping cart script, which hides refers by redirecting customers betwen real/⊗⊗⊗⊗ shop
