eBay Asks for SSN Before I Can Receive Funds for My Sold Items

I just created a new eBay Stealth account and it is telling me I need to provide my SSN or an ITIN before I can be paid for items I've sold. Will eBay figure out that I was previously banned if I give them my SSN and therefore suspend my stealth account?

Is this immediately when you sold the item? Or is this asking for your social before you even start to sell?

Ebay may not have your SSN on record as it relies on Paypal to keep track of your SSN and send you tax documents.

They asked me for it when I was attempting to submit my first listing.

Ok so they’ve officially moved to requiring a social security number when registering to sell now.

That means stealth is dead.

Not necessarily because it was asking me to provide either a SSN or an ITIN, so I'm guessing if I can get me an ITIN and use that instead of using my SSN then it'll keep me under eBay's radar.

You are overthinking this big-time. As stated previously on this thread, EBay has never had your SSN. Use it....it will work fine.
Getting an ITIN is just a step you need not take, not to mention that they'll probably still ask for for a SSN anyway.
