Default International ebay managed payments RIP OFF

WARNING!! INTERNATIONAL SELLERS! eBay Managed Payment is GREAT RIP OFF! Look here:

Hi fellow international sellers.
here is the proof what Ebay Managed payments means for us.

Increase of the total cost at over 50%.

Look at this transaction detail from one item recently sold:

WARNING EBAY LINKS

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Paymen...005844#M128192

You see here ebay takes 15,31%. vs old 10% ! They invented beautiful extra "international fee" of 1,3% that was never mentioned ever before !!! Isn't this beautiful rip off at first look.

But then we have our beautiful Payoneer that will eat another 2% of our money.

And the worse part of all is USD to our base currency conversion rate that will take extra 5% of our money when we transfer our money to our local bank?!?! (Paypal was transfering USD to our VISA card without currency conversion loss as reverse payments to Visa cards go with real exchange rate)

What a 54% perfect robbery over night.

Ebay become so non human that they do not even let us send them an email?? live chat without option to attach screenshot or document is the only option so far... Soon they will give us only automated assistant to handle us....

I used to love their customer service and their user friendly behavior But that seems to vanish.... Sad story

Tell me what are the best ebay alternative auction sites today?

Maybe we should gather and start selling there? What do you think?

Thanks friends

There is no alternative that is on the same level as ebay. If your business worked on ebay it won't work on the alternatives.

I've tried selling the same things I sell on ebay on amazon, facebook, gumtree, craigslist, etsy, forums it just doesn't work.

I'm at ebays mercy paying them their fees. But I can command much higher prices on there.

the old Ebay is just FVF on item and shipping cost, and you pay Paypal extra -2.9-4.4 % plus 30 cents transaction,so your total cost was ebay plus Paypal, which comes to 14% without currency conversion.
now you dont have any Paypal cost,Ebay MP includes ebay FVF and MP processing which replaced Paypal.
as for transferring to your VISA card,MP just transfer to your bank account.
Not much you can do,like the other said, either have your own website or find another venue

plenty of sellers whose model work on Ebay work on other venues as well-Etsy and AMZN.
depends on what you sell.

At least you have the Payoneer option. If you are in one of the European countries that do not offer Payoneer, and you still buy your goods in USD, you get hit with an exchange percentage to you, and then again when you buy the goods. But yes, the Payoneer percentage of 2% is almost as bad.

Not even sure what the percentage will be for EUR countries.

Compare this to the old days, when you would receive the funds. Keep the funds in Paypal to buy the goods. Then only withdraw the profit to your bank account, it will be like night and day. Now you'll be hit with a huge percentage on gross revenue. Fkn insanity.

Can Payoneer funds be used to buy BTC? If it can, it might be cheaper to save the 5% conversion fees.
