LaptopConnect Cards Ip adress

hi
If I get a wireless plan from cingular or other carriers with a LaptopConnect Cards plugged in my laptop, i will get internet access, can I log on ebay and what will be my Ip?
If somebody have allready tried this kind of card, please let me know.

I've tried the wireless laptop card thing. I didn't like it. For one it's signal compared to dial up, and at some spots didn't work at all. True you have a new IP with each connect, but it just wasn't worth it to me. And I spent 2k on a Sony Vaio specifically for it. What a waste of money.

Which laptops have you all been using?? I bought a $400 laptop from Walmart and brought with me to Washington D.C. It has a wireless card and I used the wi fi spots around town and at the Hilton hotel. Was fast enough for me. Just as fast as cable internet

I use the same cingular 3g card aspkin tried and it works excellent. I have 2 open accounts and 2 laptops dedicated ONLY to each account I do get the 3g service and 4 bars where Im located so its way faster than AOL but abit slower tan DSL
