No, I do not think it's possible - seems illogical to me how they'd be able to know that information. They can not disclose info with network providers due to GDPR.

Unlikely in the extreme if they can tell, even more unlikely that they would use it as grounds for deactivation if they could.
It is worth remembering that PAYG SIMs are easily forgotten and more likely to lapse. With the enhanced verification being rolled out then that could cause headaches.
In the UK a basic contract can be picked up very cheaply, I simply couldn't be bothered with the increased hassle and risk of true PAYG SIMs
