Replying to eBay Messages with Thunderbird

Hi Guys, I use thunderbird for my stealth email accounts. I was told that I am safe to reply to my eBay customers through Thunderbird even with a banned IP as eBay would not see the IP in the reply. Is this true?

Your IP is in the header of every email ( email yourself and you'll see) that said i reply through thunderbird all the time
