Post seller account or private seller

Hey,

I've just came across to an account from 2016 I listed a item for around 170£ and it sold, i have multiple quantities of this item and i want to sell it again,
I am just wondering if i should switch my account to a business / seller account to avoid any problems or if its ok to keep selling as a private seller

And when im selling these items is it best for me to list and wait until it sells then list the same item again or should i just add the quantities to one listing?

Any help would be appreciated Thanks!

Is it a stealth account?

If you started selling on this account just recently then it's best not to change anything for the first month, I would suggest you sell one item at a time and wait for the payment to be transferred to your bank account before listing again, just incase a restriction is put on the account for high volume of sales within a short period of time.

Also be aware once you get close to £2000 worth of sales you might get a request for ID to be uploaded.

I'm fairly new to stealthing myself, hopefully some veterans of the forum will chime in.

private or business does not matter , if the account does not have a stable recent selling history and you start selling items at 170 quid in bulk you will be restricted in the best case scenario and will be asked to provide ID , proof of address and proof of ownership. in the worst case you will be suspended without appeal

It depends on if your account is a stealth account or not. If it’s stealth account then your be requested for ID request around £750-£1500 and its not guaranteed to pass either.

If it’s in your real info and you have invoices and ID then you can just sell all of them on the account and provide them to eBay.

If you don’t have invoices/supplier invoices I would tread carefully sell £170 item get paid and then list again. If you want to make more money create more accounts.

Is this item risky? i.e. knock-off or trademarked, etc?

You should be fine if it’s your wife’s account and identity confirmed. I will still not sell to much on the account as you will be hit with MC011.

You can take the risk sell all your stock and potentially trigger MC011 and get an invoice from an established retailer and send to eBay this will pass MC011 as it’s a real invoice from a real retailer you can always ask for a refund from the retailer as well which they will give you.

Also because your selling risky items I would create more accounts as well.
