I remember it use to happen to me where I would lose an account but realised it was on my part.
Examples would be bad ip using hotspot, bidding/buying low items to build feedback, using random address, selling low risk items with free postage and packaging. Theirs many triggers if not done correctly which will cause these restrictions/suspensions. | Im with decade experience and i track and take into account much more things than a regular users do, so when something like this happens, believe me at first a inspected a lot and found zero clues.
-I track my IP and having list of used.
-IPs are real residentials, no VPNs or proxies
-All users on PC has different accounts
-Real info and real phone numbers
-Browser fingerprints modified different for each user and they are fixed, not made by randomizing plugins.
-All accounts shares ZERO bit of personal info.
-One was strictly bidding account, one strictly selling, one mixed and one was just created and was "dead on arival". They all had different feedbacks and no cases.
-Other precautions done just in case to prevent data sharing between companies- will not share thous as they would quickly be abused.
There is no patern as they all got suspended after different actions on each of them and some was not related to selling - see first post.
The only relating detail that all of them was touched the same day. Accounts which was not touched that day, survived ok. Lisitngs made day before and day after are ok. Buying accounts who made bids before and after are ok. Everything is ok except that ONE DAY.
By the way, it is .COM platform (worth to mention as all platform have some minor differences)
