Re: Are buyer and seller accounts in any way linked?
As degsey says, and it has been discussed before on this forum, Amazon do not care about return addresses and if your account remains in good standing should not be an issue. It's one of those pieces of data, like Chinese returns hubs, Company Formation accommodation addresses which are shared by thousands and impossible for Amazon to meaningfully monitor for banned sellers.
That said, as Saijin mentions, it is always better to err on the side of caution with Amazon and an area I would be reluctant to test myself even knowing the generally accepted theory.
How many return do you get and what is the purchase cost, not the sale price because you're going to refund that anyway. Take one of my offerings for example. It sells for £39.95, I buy it for £12. If I told the buyer to keep it I'm £12 out of pocket, not £39.95 because I'd be refunding that and I'd probably be paying for return postage too.
How many £12 do I need to refund before a PO Box becomes viable - a lot I would guess.
Where I'm going with this is to possibly set up auto-refund on Amazon. Let them keep it, in my example I'm £12 out of pocket and haven't had to pay for a return. My return address is irrelevant and the buyer is less likely to try and get Amazon involved in metric damaging messiness. Just a thought.
