[EBAY IT] Since a month eBay IT VeRO shutdowns are extremely increasing

Hi,

this message is for all are selling grey items in IT marketplace. Until past year selling this kind of goods was likely tollerated by ebay, but now it's a war. I don't know if there are competitors targeting my accounts or there is a new politic for eBay as behaviour against suspect counterfeit

What's your experience in the last weeks? I noticed there was 2 big ban wave for that items, category is smartphone accessories

VeRO reports, counterfeit reports just in general across all categories have seemingly increased this year.

Not just IT but other EU site too.

And not just ebay, Amazon, whilst they have always been ultra aggressive, have upped their takedown rate.

One possibility is the threat of legal action against the platform, we never know what talks are happening at corporate, or even governmental level, these days.

That said, if you're an authorised stockist then you have ever right to be upset. If not then there's not a lot you can do.

Been happening to me lately even with just generic items.

Was assuming that they have been employing AI to takedown listings or testing something out these past months.

Sounds like the property owners are pushing the platforms to be more of a pain from what I'm seeing

No i will keep to fight, like i did in the last 20 years. Solutions are found from fighting people. Doing nothing is the worst option

If they want to stop they have to stop china, not doing legal action against marketplaces

ye i've got a vero report and 3 medic items warning yesterday (just in 1 IT account)
It was a contact lens removal **** item
working on delete all those items but this store has 20k items so its a long and annoying process
need to be fast or ebay will suspend it soon ahah

not only ebay it.the same happened in ebay uk.I also sell branded bags watches etc.i choose uk just because there is no lawsuit and tro envolved like US markets.Some law firms like GBC SMG EPS located in Chicago are real disasters.EU market is a heaven for sellers like me,but these days are gone,ebay bot seems smarter and can identify these items even logo is blured.

Both manufacturers and Ebay can take down counterfeit items.
Nike,Adidas,Microsoft,Apple,Prada,Tiffany,Rolex are all active on Ebay ,Rolex is the worst,it will even have a lawyer sent you a letter to pay a fine!!
