Default Etsy Sales = 0

Am I crazy or is Etsy one of the worst markets out there? I have failed to discover the fruit of the site, as there is a whole section dedicated to it. I've listed jewelry and other misc items on there with only double-digit observation. I have sales campaigns and the lowest prices. What am I missing here?

You are not alone, consumers are all tapped out with rising gas, rent, insurance and grocery, news just came out, credit card deadbeats have risen to the highest level since Cov 19.
I have a shop as well,Etsy cancelled several orders due to cc problem, some I cancelled myself,I have more bookmarks on my item but no buy, they are stealing my pictures and reselling elsewhere.
And those who have bought want to return the items.
I dont think it is going to improve going into fourth quarter 2023

I don't think they are the worst, they do have decent traffic.
I'm thinking perhaps you are getting out competed by other sellers?

Strange marketplace, some people make really good profitable sales on there in volume, I personally found for my product that any profit made was negated due to promotional costs, so I was only breaking even

I think the algo just doesn't pick me from no sales history on there, tbh. It feels like a promotional money pit.

I found there are 3 types of Etsy sellers-those with brick and mortar shops and their prices are too high for ecommerce, there are stay at home moms who make their own items and then there are those who buy from Ebay/Aliexpress and resell on Etsy.

Every niche is oversaturated on etsy now.
Way too much competition.

I think the most successful sellers are those with big social media followings that bring their own traffic.

Etsys paid traffic is complete garbage and their endless fees make it impossible to sell for a decent price.

Suspended accounts are just a matter of time because etsy lets your competitors file false infringement/trademark claims against you.

5 years ago i could easily sell 25 items a day, now maybe 1 a day.

Sorry for the rant.. just my experience over the last couple years.

You're not ranting at all.

So from the sound of it Etsy needs a lot of money to operate and they aren't being run like a big business.

I wonder how long they'll last if they keep going like this.

Etsy is a Market that works well , new sellers can sell a lot from the beginning ,

who sell cheap items with low quality photos can get detected easily
