Activity: 0% Longevity: 13% | | Where is my money!?!
So, after 15+ years, ebay managed to make my personal account into a business account. I hadn't used it for like 18 months so no idea when that happened. Anyway, they said they couldn't convert it back forcing me to create a new account.
I bought a few items and all was fine so I tried to sell some items. I tried one item first and after a month got the funds released to me. So listed some more items, several of which sold quickly and totalled just shy of £100 for something like 6 different items.
Then wham, suspended. I had no joy with the BOT so ended up talking to someone who said it was standard practice, verified a few details and said I would be reinstated within 48 hours. This didn't happen so made contact only to be told it was a permanent ban, any related accounts would be banned, refused to tell me why and terminated the call.
A month later the fund have now gone from hold to available but still not appeared in my bank. Called again today only to be told they will release them when they are ready, might be a day, week or several months! Surely this can't be right.
And I am so angry that I don't know what heinous crime I am supposed to have committed?!

Her 15 years old account has been converted to business account by Ebay, and she does not want to use it,so it must be a new account.
Is the new account a stealth account?what did you sell?

So I was forced to close my 15 year old account because I wasn't trading as a company and they claimed they couldn't reset it to a domestic account.
In terms of the new account, which they chose to suspend, I was selling clothing items - tops, shorts, trousers.
I'm concerned at not getting my money (accepting it was retained for a month as a new account), but also extremely annoyed that they refuse to give a reason for banning me. It is clearly something stupid as I know I haven't actually done anything wrong - the problem of companies relying on BOTS rather than real people I guess!

Welcome to the forum OP - all the best as you master stealth ?
If you have been banned, then likely the wait period is 45-60 days for your money - pretty standard sadly - some ppl have had the money in less time like 30 days though

Did you get an AUP email at all?

Even though funds are showing available you will have a big red banner in the accounts page saying your payments are on hold. They will be released after 60 days from when the account was suspended.

I've had nothing to say when funds would be released, just the selling status which moved from 'on hold' to 'available'. Not sure what AUP is but I've had standard email responses to my queries which basically repeats that I am banned.

You can get a list of AUP violation on Paypal site,a mile long which covers illegal .knockoff, ponzi schemes, get rich schemes, etc etc
You mentioned chargeback, these are from your buyers via their cc issuers, they just take the money and give it back to the buyer.
So between AUP and chargeback, you may not have as much as you think

So between AUP and chargeback, you may not have as much as you think | It wasn't myself that mentioned chargeback but the account clearly states what my available funds are, which is just shy of £100 for 7 different sales between the 7th and 12th October. I guess I need to see what happens when I get to 12th December by the sounds of it.
I still find it completely wrong that absolutely no reason for the permanent suspension is given (other than supposedly putting the ebay community at riks - which 1000% catagorically know I haven't).

I wouldn't hold your breath on getting your money any time soon. I think the poster above who mentioned six months is likely correct.
That's assuming they release anything at all voluntarily, there's a good chance they won't.

That's assuming they release anything at all voluntarily, there's a good chance they won't. | Why would it be voluntarily - surely they have too at some stage??!! The goods were delivered to the buyers, the buyers paid me (in inverted commas) for the goods, I have not been made aware of any issue regarding the supply of the goods - they have not been returned to me nor does it appear any money has been refunded to them, certainly not removed from my ebay balance showing on the site (which I can still access). So any attempt not to pay me is surely theft!

because if you get an email about AUP violations, that's them keeping your money.

They know that 99% of those who's money they keep will not take them to court. Amazon do it all they time, it's the new norm.
They might just let you have it once they've verified your identity( have you been though verification on your second account yet?) I'm only trying to prepare you for the fact you are unlikely to get your money and time soon without a fight.
