ID for Friend PayPal account

Hello all new here so it’s my first post.

I got a friend and his PayPal is almost 2 years old and it’s been running perfect without any limits on it I’m thinking will he need a valid ID for it if he receives any limits? Thanks.

what do you mean by receiving limit?
They usually ask for ID if something he does raised suspicions.

I mean if he receives a limitation on the account and it doesn’t let him money money.

Yes it’s 2 years old I’m not sure if he’s used it or not much, because it happened to my acc few years back when I was using my PayPal often they limited it and couldn’t move any money until I provided ID so I had to provide valid ID to remove all limits that’s why I’m asking do I need a ID just in case it happens to him.

Best you ask him what his activity is like with his PP, then make a plan from there.

Hello. He said he hasn’t used the account he created it by himself and just left it standing around to receive payments whenever needed to use.

OK that sounds normal.

first I wouldn't change any info in that account, it'll trigger a limitation.

other than that I'd tread carefully and try to go slow accepting payments and increase the volume little by little

It depends on the limitation but sooner or later eventually ID will be needed

He’s not used PayPal never he usually uses his bank or his crypto wallet I told him to get a PayPal so he made it by himself & attached his bank account on it to wasn’t sure about the ID so I asked here that’s all really to it.

I'd have him add a credit card to it as well so it's verified and confirmed.
