ID request after sale surge—help please
Hi, I’ve been lurking here for a while and have always appreciated how generously people share their knowledge.
My 9-month-old stealth account — created by following the stealth guide — was perm banned about 2 months ago after I made a silly mistake that led to it being IP-linked with another perm banned account
I took the loss and subsequently created two new stealth accounts using my real name and DOB, with a slight tweak to the street number in the registration address. I also changed the bank address to match the new info.
Last night, one of the one-month-old accounts made a surprise £200 sale, bringing total sales to around £900. eBay then sent an email saying payouts are on hold and asked me to update the account by uploading photo ID. There’s also a red banner on my seller page.
My question is: is this account still salvageable? I have a driver’s license that hasn’t been used before, but the address on it is the same as the one on my 9-month-old banned account. I understand you can’t upload creative IDs in teh UK, so:
• Should I just upload the license and hope they don’t cross-check the address?
• Or should I change the address on the account first to match the ID, and hope they don’t link it to the banned one?
I wouldn’t want to give them my DL number to store if it just leads to perm ban afterwards
Many thanks
