Changing bank account

I need to add a different bank to my MP as my savers was rejected, to do that I need to change the phone number as I lost access to the old number.

I read somewhere that it's best to wait a bit after making important changes to your account like changing phone, address, etc so it doesn't look like the account has been hijacked

How long long should I wait after changing number to add the bank? I don't want to trigger an ID request.

Kind of difficult to say an exact cutoff time period for change of info but 60 days of regular selling/buying activity feels safe-ish - possibly even 90 days

If there's no rush then why not? Comes with trial and error I suppose, I'm not changing the numbers often

Well you're asking a niche question there I think, so don't expect many replies, as for me I have never heard of 'Sofi bank'

I haven't tried Sofi - some things like this, you need to do your own experimentation /shrug

Sofi is fine, I use it. Most banks are fine, I know back in the day people used to advise against "this or that online only bank", but as someone who has a number of these kind of banks, none of them have ever provided me any issue

Depends. The thing with stealth is that sometimes we cant always divulge our methods/findings because this leads to these methods getting exploited, patched, and even getting our personal accounts in trouble. Always been like this, but much moreso nowadays where the window (and penalty) for screwing up is alot larger
