AI / Machine BlackListed / new rules starting 2026?

I've been trying to log into three different PayPal accounts today. I haven't used them before, but each time I try, I get blocked immediately—first one, then another. I thought maybe it was related to my location, so I switched to a new IP address via a 4G mobile network, but I was still blocked. Then I tried creating accounts using a different mobile IP, but two more accounts got blocked. Finally, I used my personal IP and my phone number, but I received the same message: "A new account with your name, we want to verify that it's yours."

Is this a new PayPal policy? Or am I somehow being detected, and is my computer already blacklisted? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

1-3 months. new accounts. when i created them there were no problelms, so now i just get asked for ID right at login.

Some new accounts I obtained were asking ID after sale with bank info.

Not sure if it's the same thing or not but when I made a new amazon and don't use it immediately and let it sit, it gets nuked.

yes. some they were. after i login bang! blocked. also when i create accounts from my PC all gets asked for an ID

So this is actually kinda weird that it's happening to you.

Yes, AI has been creating issues for a while now, the only thing I can think of right now is perhaps wipe your OS and reinstall and give it another go?
