This option has been available in the UK for a while now, dependent on the item.

For some things extra 1.99, but if you meet certain minimum price of goods then it is free. It is only available for Prime Members.

WMT has physical stores and AMZN does not, some shoppers prefer to shop in stores, some like to pick up what they order online in local store.
If you sell on WMT.COM and your shopper wants to pick up the item in local store,WMT will send you a Fed Exp shipping label so you can ship the goods to that local store.
What happens to the idea of using drones to deliver your order?

Amazon offers collection from thousands of collection points so it does not need physical stores. Amazon is worth more than twice the valuation of Walmart as it stands. They are number 1 and 2 in terms of the biggest companies by revenue.

Using price wars to hold Amazon back is something Walmart excels at.

Pity the small shops in those malls which have been relying on a large shop as anchor eg Macy,JC Penny,Dillard to drive traffic, now they end up with AMZN warehouses !
AMZN has more than retail business,it has AWS,streaming and Wholefood and they make movies !while WMT just have grocery.
AMZN customers have more disposable income than WMT customers,
(BTW,consumers are coming back to malls and physical stores,to look around, and smell the roses )

Amazon is a market disruptor in many areas. It has received over $14billion in tax breaks, infrastructure grants, and public subsidies in the U.S alone.
It doesn't get any bigger than Amazon.

That "paper wealth" argument makes sense on the surface, but it completely misses how that valuation translates into massive, tangible leverage.
Market cap might be driven by investor hype, but that number gives a company insane real-world power over its competitors.
First off, it completely changes the cost of capital. When a company's valuation is sky-high, they can raise billions practically for free. If they want to build 50 new fulfillment centers or buy out a logistics network, they can just issue a tiny fraction of new shares or borrow money at dirt-cheap interest rates. A company with a traditional retail multiple has to rely way more on actual cash flow or expensive debt to fund the same growth.
Second, it's acquisition currency. They don't need to empty their bank accounts to swallow up physical, brick-and-mortar competitors or tech providers—they can literally just use their highly valued stock as cash.
Look at how Amazon operated for over a decade. Wall Street was so obsessed with their future growth that investors didn't care about immediate profits. That "paper valuation" gave them a shield to run at razor-thin margins and dump every penny back into the real world—buying planes, building a massive shipping fleet, and undercutting everyone else. If a traditional retailer tried running at a net loss like that to compete, their investors would panic, dump the stock, and ruin them.
This is exactly how amazon got their hands in many pies.
So yeah, while it starts out as abstract numbers on a screen, that valuation is the exact financial engine used to build physical monopolies in the real world.

Issuing more shares dilute earnings.
Owning too many physical assets could be a drag when economy slows, and we are seeing it now.
Private airports, fleets, planes, ware houses, distribution centers, robotics are all cash eating parasites when they are working below full capacity
BTW Bozos was on CNBC today.
